Current HCPS Covid Procedures

Students are required to isolate for five days after they start Covid symptoms or test positive if asymptomatic.  They may return on day six as long as symptoms are improving and they have been free of fever for at least 24 hours.  There is no quarantine period for the District for those who come into contact with Covid.

We hope all of our students and their family members stay well!

August 18, 2022, 6-9 P.M., support Randall Middle School by stopping by Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, 1025 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico, FL, on the corner of Bloomingdale Avenue and Bell Shoals Road, across from Shrimp Boat.  The more we buy, the more money we earn for Randall Middle School PTSA.

20s: Touch Base on 20

Touch Base on 20

The 20th day of each quarter is dedicated to conversations about student academic gains and progress.  All staff, students and parents will talk with students about progress on this day.

Teachers, Counselors and Administration will discuss RMS students’ progress on the 20th day of each quarter. We will provide resources to parents and ask that you encourage academic and social/emotional growth by discussing progress with your kids on these important days.

September 7 and November 10, 2022, and February 7 and April 24, 2023

Athletics: Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Track, and Volleyball

Randall Athletics
Randall Middle School offers extramural athletic participation during the school year.  Middle School sports include boys’ and girls’ basketball, volleyball, track, soccer and flag football. We will let you know the order of sports via email in August.

In order to try out for any of the teams, District athletic forms and video trainings must be completed. Visit

All athletic paperwork must be uploaded online by the student’s parent/guardian. Students must watch
the required video trainings themselves.

Parent meetings for boys and girls interested in trying out for sports will be held in late August and January for the corresponding semesters’ sports Dates of sports’ seasons TBA. We will send out an update email with the date and time for our meetings.

Randall’s Equity Champions Committee

Our Equity Champions Committee is dedicated to ensuring that all students have access to resources and opportunities for academic and social/emotional growth. The committee meets monthly and discusses activities, projects and issues that are important in supporting diversity in our school.
